Dr. Florence M. Holland
Special Assistant to the Associate Provost for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs
Dr. Florence Holland serves as the Special Assistant to the Associate Provost for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs of Auburn University. Under the auspices of the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, Florence provides leadership and assistance for the Associate Provost for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs as set forth by Auburn University's strategic plan for institutionalizing social equity and campus diversity. Dr. Holland also serves in this position as the Project Coordinator for the National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellows in Science and Mathematics for East Alabama Schools. Florence previously worked at Auburn University as the first Minority Programs Coordinator for the College of Sciences and Mathematics. Most recently she was a seventh grade mathematics teacher in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. She received the Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Va. Tech), a Masters of Arts in Education degree in Educational Administration from Ball State University and a Doctorate of Education degree in Higher Educational Administration from Argosy University at Sarasota.
