Charus Campbell
Admissions Advisor /Coordinator, Recruitment and Retention Services
Charus Campbell serves as Admissions Advisor/Coordinator Recruitment & Retention Services for the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. His primary responsibilities are to work to establish pre-college programs targeted at attracting a diverse student population from predominantly African American, Hispanic American, and economically disadvantaged communities. Charus' work also includes supporting and enhancing programs that invite students in the afore mentioned groups to visit Auburn University's campus, analyzing submitted applications and projecting goal application rates, and assist in developing and expanding programs that raise the graduation rates of students of color, ethnic minorities, women, students with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups. Charus brings over two years of enrollment experience as an Admissions Advisor/Minority Recruiter and Coordinator of Student Recruiters from the Office of Undergraduate Recruiting and University Scholarships at Auburn University. He also has more than four years of orientation experience serving as a staff member and liaison to the Freshman Year Experience/Students in Transition Office. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Charus serves as a liaison to the Undergraduate Recruiting staff, the Student Success Center, Student Athlete Support Services, Alumni Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Students to which he also is an advisor to the Black Student Union. He earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Environmental Design (Industrial Design) from Auburn University's College of Architecture Design and Construction.
