Executive to the Provost

Serving as executive assistant to the provost since August 2017, Sandy Krietemeyer manages the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the office and serves as a liaison to the institution’s vice presidents, deans, and other stakeholders both on and off-campus. In addition to various academic committees, Krietemeyer provides support to several administrative processes including promotion and tenure, faculty awards, and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education. Before working in the provost’s office, Krietemeyer spent five years as the executive support specialist to the dean of the College of Agriculture and director of the Alabama Agriculture Experiment Station.

A native of Bay Minette, Alabama, Krietemeyer holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Alabama. For more than 10 years, she worked as a corporate travel agent and meeting planner for American Express Travel and All Seasons’ Travel. She is married and has two children, both of whom are recent Auburn graduates.
