Calina Creech
Lt. Col. Calina Creech

Lt. Col. Calina M. Creech was born in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earning a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing, in 1990. Additionally, she holds a master of business administration from Cameron University and a master of science in defense analysis, irregular warfare from Naval Post Graduate School.

Creech began her active duty service in the U.S. Army in December 1991, enlisting as a specialist in the Signal Corps. After several assignments, ranging from Korea to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, she departed active duty and joined the U.S. Army Reserve. In 1998, Creech received a direct commission from the Army Reserve in the Military Intelligence Corps, but later branch transferred to the Adjutant General’s Corps. In June 2006, she returned to active duty through the Limited Call to Active Duty program. She has served in a variety of positions throughout her 27 years of service. Her previous assignments as an officer include G-1 operations officer, Southern European Task Force, Italy; Battalion S-1, 743rd Military Intelligence Battalion, Aurora, Colorado; Battalion S-1 Group Support Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Carson, Colorado; Battalion S-1, 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Group S-1, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Carson, Colorado; Centralized Selection List (CSL) program manager, human resources Command, Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Most recently, Lt. Col. Creech served as the army element support commander, Headquarters Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

Creech has deployed in multiple operations which include Operation Joint Guardian in Kosovo, Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan.

Creech’s military education consists of the Military Intelligence Officer basic course, the Adjutant General Officer advanced course, the Human Resources Management course, and the Naval Command and Staff College. Creech is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School. Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (3rd award), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (7th award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4th award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2nd award), Kosovo Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2 stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (2 stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), NATO Medal (2nd award), Parachutist Badge, Australian Jump Wings, and the Combat Action Badge.

Creech is married to John G. Creech, from Albany, Georgia.
