Special Assistant to the Provost for Budgets
After graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in accounting in 1989, Jenny worked in public accounting for five years. She came to Auburn University in 1995 as a Property Accountant in Risk Management & Property Services. She was in this position for one year and was promoted to an Accountant II in Financial Reporting. After serving as an Accountant II for one year, Jenny was promoted to an Account III position in Financial Reporting. She held this position for one year.
Following her two years in Financial Reporting, Jenny was promoted to Assistant Director of Budget Services. She worked in this position for seven years. While working in Budget Services, she earned her master’s degree in higher education administration from Auburn University graduating Phi Kappa Phi in 2003. In December 2005, she was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Provost, Budget. She earned her doctorate degree in administration of higher education. While working on her doctorate, she was inducted into Golden Key International Honour Society and The National Scholars Honor Society.
Jenny’s responsibilities for the Office of the Provost include: providing financial forecasting, planning, and monitoring for all the colleges/schools/vice presidents/associate provost units; analyzing financial and budget data to detail assets, liabilities, and capital; making recommendations to improve financial positions; providing financial assistance/reporting for all the units that report to the Provost; assisting in the development of strategies to allocate financial resources efficiently; providing direction and advice on budget matters and annual budget preparation for all units that report to the Provost; and serving as a liaison between University academics and administration.
