Campus Programmers

Auburn Connects! welcomes proposals for events and speakers related to the 2014-15 common book selection, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope. Successful proposals will receive up to a maximum of $1000. Proposed programs must be free and open to the public. Successful proposals will reflect one or more of the following Auburn Connects! goals:

  • Encourage students to read a variety of books
  • Promote community among students, staff, and faculty through shared reading experiences and activities both in and out of the classroom
  • Raise awareness and provide insight into the human condition
  • Create a culture of respect for diverse viewpoints
  • Develop lifelong habits of intellectual curiosity, engagement, and critical thinking
