Kevin Astle

Dr. Kevin Astle

Pharm.D. - Florida, 2016

Dr. Kevin Astle is originally from Dunedin, Florida. He graduated with his Pharm.D. from the University of Florida in 2016. While in school at Florida, he completed an internship with CVs Pharmacy and volunteered with the Equal Access Clinic Network, a student-run free clinic in Gainesville, Florida. An avid Florida Gators and Tampa Bay Rays fan, he enjoys running, going to the beach, and traveling.

Rajkumar Sevak

Dr. Rajkumar Sevak, R.Ph. comes to the AUPCC after most recently completing a fellowship and serving as an adjunct faculty member at Gatton College of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University. Prior to that, he was a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California at Los Angeles. He earned a bachelor degree in pharmacy from L.M. College of Pharmacy in India in 1998. He went on to complete a master’s degree in pharmacology in 2000. In 2006, he earned a Ph.D. in psychopharmacology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Sevak has conducted substantial research on substance abuse and mental health and has published 18 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, and made more than 30 presentations at national conferences. To support his research, he has obtained two NIH grants and one state grant as a principal investigator. At ETSU College of Pharmacy, he provided guest lectures on mental health topics. He also coordinated an interprofessional course in a small-group setting, which was attended by pharmacy, medical and nursing students.

Rachael Talaski

Dr. Rachael Talaski

Pharm.D. - Ferris State, 2016

Dr. Talaski is originally from St. Clair, Michigan. She earned her Pharm.D. from Ferris State University in 2016. Her professional interests include working with underserved populations and geriatrics. While in pharmacy school, she interned with CVS Pharmacy and was a student admissions representative at Ferris state. Talaski is a member of the American society of Health-System Pharmacists and Lambda Kappa Sigma sorority. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, kayaking and hiking in northern Michigan, and spending time with family and friends.
