Priyanka Das Pinky is from Chittagong, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from University of Chittagong in 2011 and then served as a physician for three years in Bangladesh. Her post-graduation was concentrated on Internal Medicine.

She moved to Auburn and started her Ph.D. in Pharmacology under Dr. Vishnu Suppiramaniam’s supervision in 2016. Priyanka’s research interest is mainly focused on elucidation of the mechanism of alteration of hippocampal-amygdala circuit synaptic plasticity and to understand the downstream regulation of different glutamate receptor subtypes in animal behavioral models.

She has also passed the United Stated Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) step 1 and desires to become an M.D./Ph.D. She wants to develop her career to serve in the field of clinical pharmacology as a research scientist.
