B.Pharm. - University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2011
M.Pharm. - University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2012

Research Areas:
I am interested in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and outcomes research. My research activities are primarily focused on improving drug safety and lowering healthcare disparities. One major highlight of my research is to understand the extent of Potentially Inappropriate Medications (PIM) prescribed in different healthcare settings, factors affecting PIM prescription and how to alleviate this condition.

I am actively involved in the analyses of large healthcare databases such as administrative claims databases, and the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. My current project is on analyzing brand versus generic versus authorized generic adverse event rates of selected drugs reported in the FAERS which is funded by FDA U01 grant. I am also conducting my research on complex survey databases such as the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS), the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NHAMCS), National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
