Pamela L. Stamm, Pharm.D., CDE, BCPS, BCACP, FASHP, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. She was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and received her B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Saint Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, completing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1996; and went on to complete an ASHP-accredited Primary Care Residency at The Medical Center and Lakeland Family Practice, Jackson, Mississippi. She joined the faculty of Auburn University’s James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy in 1997.

Dr. Stamm teaches diabetes self-management education. She provides Advanced Practice Experiences (APPE) in Ambulatory Care within the Central Alabama Veteran's Health Care System and Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) in Ambulatory Care. In the VA setting pharmacists provide direct patient care services in areas such as Diabetes, Dyslipidemia, Hypertension, Gout, Thyroid, Neuropathic pain, Smoking Cessation, COPD/Asthma, and Heart failure. Her research areas include problem based learning, SOAP documentation, assessing student interventions, and career portfolio development.

Stamm is active within the Alabama Society of Health System Pharmacists (AlSHP), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) serving on committees for the Section of Pharmacy Practice and Council of Faculties and in the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners (SACP) of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) where she served on the Executive Committee from 2010-13 and as Section Chair from 2011-12. She currently serves on the SACP Education Steering Committee and Council on Public Policy. In addition, she has volunteered as a Midyear Abstract Reviewer, Best Practices Award Reviewer, CV reviewer, and Poster Mentor.
