Catherine Loosier, PharmD, BCPS is a Professor of Practice in the Academic Programs unit at the Harrison School of Pharmacy. She received her Pharm.D. from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2007. Since receiving her PharmD from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2007, Dr. Loosier has also worked in a variety of pharmacy settings including: inpatient medicine, long-term care, and community pharmacy.

As a Professor of Practice, Dr. Loosier participates in the Practice Ready Curriculum with Pharm.D. students including in small and large group instruction, active delivery of educational content, and assessment of pharmacy related skills. Additionally, she precepts students in both active and simulated patient care activities, collaborates with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized patient care plans, utilizes an electronic health record to document all patient care activities, and identifies patients for pharmacist led interventions using population health metrics.

Dr. Loosier previously served as an Integrated Pharmacotherapy Facilitator with HSOP. Prior to coming to Auburn, she was the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Specialist practicing in affiliation with the State Employees' Insurance Board (SEIB) clinic in Montgomery, Alabama from 2010-12. In this capacity, she provided collaborative medication therapy management pharmaceutical care services to employees of the state of Alabama. She also served as a preceptor for both pharmacy practice residents and fourth year pharmacy students.

Additionally, Dr. Loosier has served as a Contemporary Aspects of Pharmacy Practice (CAPP) Facilitator, and a mentor in the Professional Practice Experience (PPE) program for the Harrison School of Pharmacy.
