Brad M. Wright, Pharm.D, BCPS, FASHP is the Hill Crest Associate Clinical Professor at the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Wright joined the Auburn faculty in 2008 and practices in Ambulatory Care in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. He graduated cum laude with his Pharm.D. in 2004 from the Harrison School of Pharmacy and completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. In 2009, Dr. Wright obtained board certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist and in 2019 and was recognized as a Fellow in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Dr. Wright is an active member of the Alabama Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ALSHP), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the American Associate of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He served as President of ALSHP in 2014-2015 and most recently has served on the ASHP Commission for Affiliate Relations and the ASHP Practice Advancement Initiative (PAI) 2030 Advisory Panel.
Dr. Wright also serves as the Director of the Professional Program under the Associate Dean for Academic Programs. As part of this position, he serves as the driving force in ensuring that the school's Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum provides students with the most up-to-date and highest quality learning experiences necessary for becoming Practice-Ready Pharmacists. His vision is to advance the profession of pharmacy and the care of patients through innovative and inspiring education.
Dr. Wright’s practice is located at the UAB School of Medicine, Internal Medicine Clinic in Huntsville, Alabama. In this resident-run clinic, he collaborates primarily in the management of diabetes and hypertension patients. Prior to coming to UAB, Dr. Wright also practiced in Ambulatory Care at the USA College of Medicine in the Stanton Road Internal Medicine Clinic for five years. His professional areas of interest include hypertension, diabetes, medication adherence and optimizing patient health through advancing the role of the pharmacist in patient care.
