Student checking blood pressure at a health fair

Being a part of the Harrison School of Pharmacy “pharmily” means more than just being a student. Outside of the regularly scheduled patient visits in the community through our Pharmacy Practice Experience (PPE) program, the HSOP and its multiple organizations provide many opportunities to give back and serve the community.

This is a great way to apply what we learn in class to a real-life practice setting all while showing the community the numerous ways pharmacists can serve them. While all organizations have their own service projects, there are also opportunities for all student organizations to collaborate to provide health services to our community while advocating for the profession.

Every day we are grateful for the tremendous amount of support and encouragement we receive from our community. With that in mind, we are ecstatic at the opportunity to give back through various health services such as blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, as well as cholesterol screenings and immunizations. Keeping our community healthy and informed is our main goal.

Being student pharmacists in the HSOP means you will truly be given the tools and opportunities to become a pharmacist who is able to provide excellent care for patients, wherever they may be.
