Faculty led breakout sessions will be held on the topics listed below. It is our hope that synthesizing what they have learned in the various plenaries, discussing how to address issues within their classrooms and formulating next steps beyond the Symposium will all be aspects of the intellectual activities that faculty engage in.
Friday: 2:40 - 3:40 p.m.
Breakout Rooms: (2nd Floor Student Center): 2216, 2218, 2223, 2225, 2227. Room 2222 will be a special Writing Group. There will be 2 Auburn Faculty facilitators in each room. Some of questions that will be discussed are:
How can the ideas about cultural perspectives presented in the Symposium so far, impact your professional responsibilities?
Saturday: Working Lunch till 2:00 p.m.
Discussions will be at the Lunch Tables. There will be one facilitator per table. We shall play a little game called 'Cross Cultural Craps'. Some of the questions that will be discussed are: How can you incorporate cross-cultural awareness in your role as either Faculty or Student in a certain aspect of your Professional Responsibility such as Teaching, Advising, Research etc., within the context of your discipline?
