Nursing Organizations

Nursing School Council
The Nursing Student Council is composed of representatives from each professional and honorary group in the school and elected school officers.

Nursing School Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are a highly selected group of young men and women who function as the official hosts for the school. These students assist in hosting special events, welcoming dignitaries to campus, recruiting events, and promoting the school.

Sigma Theta Tau– Theta Delta Chapter
Sigma Theta Tau International is an honor society of nursing leaders and scholars founded at Indiana University in 1922. Society membership is awarded to baccalaureate nursing candidates who achieve high scholastic averages and who achieve excellence in nursing leadership roles. The undergraduate inductee must have at least a 3.0 and be in the upper third of the class.

Chi Eta Phi
Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. is an international professional organization of registered nurses and nursing students (representing many diverse ethnic and racial cultures) working together in “Service for Humanity.” The Auburn University chapter, Theta Phi Beta, works closely with the local graduate chapter of registered nurses, Theta Phi chapter, in mentor/mentee relationships and community projects. Membership is by invitation and is both active and honorary.

Student Nurses' Association
The Student Nurses Association is a voluntary organization through which nursing students practice self-governance; advocate for student rights and the rights of patients; and take collective, responsible action on vital social and political issues. Membership is open to students in the upper division and lower division courses.
