Current Research:
Dr. Gore’s current research is in the field of simulation. She has led the development of mock hospital unit simulation as the initial clinical experience for beginning nursing students to improve patient safety and decrease student anxiety. She is collaborating with other faculty members on the development of psychiatric/mental health high-fidelity simulation, and the incorporation of simulation into all clinical courses.

Overview
Teresa Gore joined Auburn University School of Nursing (AUSON) in August 2005. Prior to AUSON, she worked at University of Alabama at Huntsville College of Nursing. She completed her post-MSN FNP and DNP in December 2009. Dr. Gore has over 20 years of experience in nursing and began her career in academia in 2002. She is active in several organizations such as International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) where she is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as a peer reviewer for the journal.
