Spend this summer in Seville, Spain participating in Auburn University
School of Nursing’s 6-credit Summer Global
Perspectives Program for students interested in learning about the Spanish Healthcare System and culture.
No previous knowledge of Spanish is required.
You will learn about healthcare delivery as well as examine diversity and cultural differences through readings, lessons and hand-on experiences. The learning objectives for the healthcare component of the course will be to learn about the culture and health care in today’s Spain. The lessons on these topics will be taught through classroom lectures and through field laboratory excursions to governmental agencies, healthcare organizations, museums, research centers, newspaper and magazine publishers, and other organizations.
The program has engaging content taught by Auburn professor Linda Byrd. The learning will be reinforced through a series of Local Site Visits and Short Seminars delivered by professionals as well as cultural trips.
As a program participant, you will be placed with a Spanish family to enhance your abroad experience. The housing accommodations include a full meal plan, basic utilities and WIFI access.
