Academics AND Program Admission Requirement AND Courses AND Application Form |
AND Program Requirements Applicants to the AND Program must:
Provide official transcripts of all work attempted. (Official transcripts should be submitted to the Admissions Office according to the instructions received when applying for admission to Auburn University. After receipt of transcripts, the School of Nursing Academic Advisor will determine the amount of transfer credit allowed.) Professional Program: Students are admitted to the AND program annually in Fall semester. Applications will be online by mid February. Applicants are notified of acceptance or non-acceptance. Due to limited enrollment, all students who meet minimum criteria may not be admitted. Criteria for consideration for admission include a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 2.5, completion of the pre-nursing requirements, references, proof of acceptance to Auburn University, and a completed application. An overall GPA of 2.0 must be maintained for progression through the professional program. Applicants who have been unsuccessful in the basic five semester program during the past five years are not eligible for admission to the AND program. A minimum grade of C is required in all pre-nursing courses. Transfer credit will not be granted for courses in which a grade less than C is earned. In the professional program, a minimum grade of C must be achieved in all courses. If a grade of less than C is received in the AND professional program, the student will be allowed to repeat the program one time. If another grade of less than C is earned, the student will be dropped from the professional program. |
