The Health Administration Scholarship Award
Instructions for Applicants
- The Health Administration Scholarship Award established in
1981, is given each year to a junior in the Auburn University HA Program who has at least a 3.0
cumulative average GPA and who will not be receiving any other University
scholarship aid during the academic year of the HA Scholarship Award.
- Applicants are selected by a committee consisting of faculty from the
HA Program, other sections of the Department of Political Science, and/or
at least one working health administrator. Selection is made on the basis
of applicant's demonstrated scholarship and promise as a future health
administrator.
- Each applicant is asked to provide:
- A standard Health Administration Scholarship Application.
(see Dr. McEldowney for one)
- A brief essay describing his/her administrative outlook or
philosophy (include local address, phone number, and e-mail address).
- His/her current Auburn University transcript (include 1
original from Registrar's Office).
- The selection committee may ask some or all applicants to appear for a
personal interview.
- The applicant selected each year will be given a financial scholarship
award and will have the title "HA Scholar" during the year of the award.
He/she will also be recognized at the annual meeting of the HA Alumni Organization.
- Application form and data should be returned to Dr. McEldowney, Scholarship
Committee Chair, by March 11.
