Dr. Charles Spindler

Dr. Charles Spindler, who taught advanced finance for the HA Program, died Friday, May 5, 2000, while swimming with friends at the campus pool.

Dr. Spindler held the Doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Georgia and had extensive experience in urban planning and community development.

Among journals in which his publications appeared were:

Urban Affairs Quarterly
Public Productivity and Managment Review
Policy Studies Review

Dr. Spindler appeared on numerous professional panels at conferences on public administration and public policy in the U.S., Canada, and China.

In the Health Administration Program, Dr. Spindler taught an HA539 advanced seminar in health care financial policy. He also taught courses in the Master of Public Administration Program of the Department of Political Science.

Dr. Spindler was a lively and innovative instructor and a diligent scholar. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and all the students whose lives he touched.
