The Academic Award in Technical and Professional Communication
The Academic Award in Technical and Professional Communicationis an award sponsored
by the Birmingham Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication. It is given
to either an undergraduate English major concentrating in technical and professional
communication, a student minoring in English with all course work toward the
minor consisting of technical and professional communication courses, or a graduate
student in the Masters in Technical and Professional Communication Program. The
recipient is a student who has achieved academic excellence in preparing for
a career in technical and professional communication and who has contributed
to the program in other ways.
