Awards & Scholarships

The English Department is proud to sponsor the Robert Hughes Mount, Jr. Academy of American Poets Prize each year.

The English Department is also proud to have its undergraduates receive the Academic Award in Technical and Professional Communication Sponsored by the Birmingham Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

There are also Department Awards and Scholarships that are bestowed each year on eligible English majors.

There is available a Scholarship for incoming freshmen bestowed each year.
