Two "Outstanding Graduate Students" Selected from English Department

Diane Boyd (Ph.D. program) and Sharyn Pulling (M.A. program) were selected by a special committee of the Graduate Council as "Outstanding Graduate Students" for 1999-2000. Up to ten Ph.D. and ten M.A. students from throughout the University are chosen each year by the Graduate Council based on departmental nominations. Please extend your congratulations to Diane and Sharyn!

Reading Group Plans to Discuss Truth

The Gender Studies and Great Books Reading Group will meet on Wednesday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Joyce Rothschild to discuss Ellen Douglas's Truth. As always, everyone is welcome--whether you've managed to finish the book, or not. Refreshments will be served. If you need directions, contact
