The Ultimate WebCT Crash Course

This workshop will give you an
intense introduction into the course management tool WebCT.  It will help greatly if you have already created your content (i.e., text files, images files, list of links, PowerPoint presentations).  This workshop will run in the mornings from December 17 - 19 from 8:30 a.m. - noon in 201 Tichenor.  We will work on the following points but will also have time to deal with individual questions and concerns:

  • Creating a Web CT course and linking it to your class roll
  • Adding material to the course (text documents, images, web pages, hyperlinks, etc.)
  • Organizing your WebCT course so that it makes sense to students
  • Managing your course: grades, backups
  • Using the communication tools
  • Evaluating students: assignment drop-off, quizzes
