Newsworthy: English Hour Presentation by Miriam Clark on November 16

Miriam Clark will present "Attitude Dancing: Kenneth Burke and American Poetry" on November 16, 4 - 5 p.m. in Haley 2306.

Angela Farmer to Present at Various Conferences

Angela Farmer will be presenting a number of papers at conferences this winter and spring.  In December, she is presenting “Humor and Masculinity: When is it Manly to Laugh?” at The American Humor Studies Association National Convention in New Orleans.  In February, she will be traveling to Albuquerque where she will present “A Proclivity for Mom - Auteur Theory, Hitchcock, and Momism.”  And in April she will present, “‘You Can't Fight in Here, This is the War Room': Political Masculinity in Dr. Strangelove” on the Political Masculinities panel at the PCA/ACA National Conference in Boston.  Angela's dissertation focuses on masculine subjectivity and abjection in Cold War era American literature and film.

Emma Bolden's Poems Accepted for Publication

Emma Bolden has had three poems accepted for publication. One will be in Hiram Poetry Review, and two poems will be published in Cranky: A Literary Journal.
