Coursework

While there are no specifically required courses for the MA itself, students who concentrate in creative writing or rhetoric and composition will have required courses in their concentration. In addition, all new Graduate Teaching Assistants are required to take ENGL 7040 English Composition: Approaches and Issues, which is offered every fall semester. Up to six hours of coursework may be taken in a minor area related to a student’s graduate courses in English or thesis area. We try to offer all courses within a two-year period, and we maintain a detailed current listing of our graduate courses.
