The purpose of the meeting
was to discuss the outcome statements for the technical and professional
communication assessment.
Agenda
1. The minutes from
the previous meeting were approved.
2. Announcement: Videoconferencing
with Alise Chabaud on 11/15 in HC 3223; TPC
students
invited
3. Outcome Statement
Issues
- Outcome 3 (Computer Presentation) has been removed from the
assessment.
- Instructors need to include assignment sheet so assessors can determine
audience.
- Outcome statement will deal specifically with the analytical report,
and the Means of
Assessment (1a) will refer to analytical report instead of "portfolio."
- We reconfirmed that visuals are required for the analytical report.
- Section C of the assessment worksheet should refer to "navigational
cues" instead of just "Transitions and orienting phrases."
- Don is redrafting the assessment worksheet with the above issues in
mind.
- Outcome 2
- This outcome statement will deal with the instructions assignment,
not the "portfolio."
- Beth is redrafting the assessment worksheet to make it more specifically
tailored to the instructions assignment.
3. For the next meeting
(10/27), we will discuss the revised assessment worksheets and discuss
