AACU	Shared Futures: Global Learning and Social Responsibility. (http://www.aacu-edu.org/SharedFutures/index.cfm) Shared Futures: Global Learning and Social Responsibility is a multi-project, national initiative of The Association of American Colleges and Universities' Office of Diversity, Equity, and Global Initiatives. It assumes we live in an interdependent but unequal world and that higher education can help prepare students not only to thrive in such a world but to remedy its inequities. Our recent national tragedy has made it clearer than ever that we are one global community---however fractured and fragile. In such a world, AAC&U seeks to support the academy in its vital role of expanding knowledge about the world's people and problems and advancing democracy and justice both at home and abroad. ACE	The American Council on Education has been actively pursuing a number of international education initiatives and collaborative project on internationalizing U.S. institutions of higher education. Information on these can be found on their website.
