STUDENT
EXCHANGE PROGRAM FORMS AND PROCEDURES:

Student must complete the
relevant admission application form(s) below (SELECT THE APPROPRIATE
APPLICATION PROCESS, one or more forms may be required).

For the AU Intensive English
Program participation: Students intending to participate in an
exchange that includes the IEP program must also complete the IEP
application form (select
this link and print the form).

For students in Undergraduate status at
their home institution - The reciprocal exchange international
student will all need to complete the international student
admission form that can be downloaded from the following web link
(make sure it is sent to you with all the paperwork and then hand
delivered to OIE) - students will all be admitted as NON-DEGREE in
the major EXCH for one term:

if you use the online application please print any receipt or
acknowledgement of your application as you will need to
submit this confirmation page as part of the DS-2019 document
request process. No DS-2019 will be issued without
confirmation of application/admission.)

Provide evidence of
English
Language Proficiency as required by program
Minimum required TOEFL score is 213 for new computerized test and 550 for
the written paper-based test

Provide evidence of FINANCIAL
SUPPORT - Each participant must provide evidence of funding support
as required under USDHS regulations. For specific cost of attendance
details go to

Financial support documents may be in the form of a letter from the hosting
department (scholarships, assistantships, etc.), home institution
(scholarships, etc.), personal bank statements (student, parents, etc.),
and/or documentation from other sponsors including parents (any combination)
that provides combined or independent evidence for the total amounts
required. (sample

AU Exchange visitor data form, select one of the following formats:

- This form must be completed and submitted
prior to enrollment. Questions regarding required
immunizations, etc. should be directed to the medical clinic at:
http://www.auburn.edu/au_medical/email.html
- Be aware that if you do not complete this
process and provide the appropriate evidence of immunizations, etc..
you will be required to have the appropriate immunizations and chest
x-rays following arrival (which you will need to pay for). You
will not be allowed to be enrolled unless you complete the medical
clearance requirements.
- ALL THE ABOVE FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE AU HOST DEPARTMENT
TO BE ATTACHED TO THE DS-2019 or AU US DHS Certificate of Eligibility
Request document form (below under departmental use).
- Be aware of the HEALTH
INSURANCE REQUIREMENT - All
students (F/J visa) and scholars (J visa) AND their dependents are
automatically enrolled in and must pay for the AU mandatory health
insurance and emergency assistance plan. This insurance
information and premium costs can be found at:

- This is MANDATORY and AUTOMATIC with
coverage effective the date you arrive to start your program.
ALL DEPENDENTS (F-2 and J-2) are also enrolled in this plan. For
additional details please check the link noted and review the
Exchange Visitor application documentation in item 3 above.

Anyone unable to enter the US by the date
designated on the DS-2019 must contact OIE with an alternate arrival
date so we can advise US DHS SEVIS of the deferred time.

All students will need to report in to OIE
no later than five business days following entry into the US.
If they are unable to do so they or the program host must contact
OIE for check in advising.
DEPARTMENT USE ONLY: The
DS-2019 request form must be submitted by the departmental host at AU
along with the required documentation indicated above. The student
application for admission to AU must either be submitted with the
DS-2019 form or have been processed through the appropriate admissions
process.

A copy of any inter-institutional agreement
either as an exchange of letters between academic units or as
official institutional documents (contact Director OIE for further
information as needed). Said document should outline the
nature of the activity/exchange.

The departmental host should collect the
application materials identified above AND COMPLETE the DS-2019 request form which is found at
(note the data page above is also included in this package - no need
to duplicate it - we separated it above to make it easy to email the
link to students):

needs to be either in the form of a letter from their school
indicating the amount of funding they are getting, bank statements,
parent or other sponsor letters. These can be in any
combination and must be equal to or greater than the amount
indicated above.

Attach a copy of the
student passport photo/data page attached to be sure we get the
names, DOB, etc. correct. Note they will all be enrolled in
the health insurance plan automatically for the total months of the EV program and this will be added to their bursars bill when they
check in. Additionally the Non Immigrant Student fee is
charged each semester. To verify the appropriate current

Attach a copy of any financial/fee
arrangements – reciprocity arrangement must be included with the
DS-2019 or all participants will be expected to pay full tuition and
fees upon arrival.

USDHS SEVIS FEE
- EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 2004 all non immigrant visa
applicants are subject to paying the US DHS SEVIS fee of $100 prior to
their visa interviews. Information on how to pay the fee can be
