OIP Offers ‘A Taste of Brazil’ Course

The Office of International Programs will offer a six-week, non-credit course in Brazilian culture and Portuguese language February 9 through March 16.

‘A Taste of Brazil’ will introduce participants to many exciting aspects of Brazilian culture including food, art, film, music and dance. While discovering Brazil’s rich and diverse culture, participants will also learn useful Portuguese phrases and exchanges as well as relevant customs.

Instructor Hugo Dos Santos is a native of Brazil and brings a deep understanding of the language and culture to this exciting introductory course. No previous experience with Portuguese language is necessary.

The class will meet on Mondays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Foy Hall. The cost is $55, and pre-registration is required by completing the registration form found here.

This course is offered by the Office of International Programs with support from the Government of the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.
