OIP Presents Free Old World Holidays Event Dec. 6

AUBURN – The Office of International Programs invites students, faculty, staff and the community to experience Old World Holidays on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hotel at Auburn University. The event is free.

Part of the Year of Western Europe, Old World Holidays will highlight the end-of-year traditions from across the region with spectacular sweet and savory goodies and visits with many of Europe's gift-bearing characters.

"Most children growing up in the U.S. are quite familiar with Santa," said Jenn Mason, director of international initiatives. "But not everyone realizes that Santa has quite a bit of help from his friends across the world. St. Nicholas, Befana, the Magi and others will be on hand to help us celebrate in true European style."

The event will coincide with the unveiling of the Auburn gingerbread village, which will take place at 5 p.m. in the lobby of the AUHCC.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jenn Mason at jlm0061@auburn.edu with any questions.
