Korea Center-King Sejong Institute offering summer intensive Korean language course

AUBURN, Ala. – For the first time, the Korea Center-King Sejong Institute in the Office of International Programs is offering a summer intensive Korean language course. Every day, May 28 to June 27 from 9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m., course participants will engage in a language learning experience at the Korea Center-King Sejong Institute at 244 Foy Hall to gain a foundational knowledge of the Korean language and culture. The course is open to students, faculty and staff and the general public for a $100 fee that covers tuition and textbook cost.

“The Korea Center-King Sejong Institute is thrilled to offer a Korean language course option to those individuals with otherwise hectic schedules during the traditional academic calendar,” said Ellie Lee, Korea Center-King Sejong Institute coordinator. “The course is designed to engage participants in an active language learning experience in a low-risk and relaxed environment.”

Registration for the course is open and will close May 17. For questions and to register, contact auksi@auburn.edu.

For those who cannot utilize the summer intensive course, the Korea Center-King Sejong Institute also offers a total of four Korean language courses ranging from beginner level one to intermediate level two during the fall and spring semesters. For more information on each course, visit the Korea Center-King Sejong Institute website (www.auburn.edu/international/kc).
