Auburn University Signs 3+2 Degree Agreement with Halla University

Auburn University President Steven Leath signed a 3+2 degree program agreement in Mechanical Engineering with visiting President of Halla University Pyeong Rak Choi.

Halla University is located in Wonju, South Korea, and is part of Halla Group, a collection of multiple business including automotive suppliers. Local Hyundai supplier Mando USA is part of Halla Group, and CEO Yong Keol Kim also attended the signing ceremony.

Students in the Mechanical Engineering 3+2 program complete three years of undergraduate degree coursework at their home university overseas then complete two additional years at Auburn. Students graduate with both bachelor’s and master's degrees and are able to complete an internship at a local automotive supplier. Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea, is also part of the 3+2 program.
