Call for Global Teaching Academy Applications

The Office of International Programs requests nominations and applications for the Global Teaching Academy. This group was created to recognize and celebrate exceptional teaching in an international context. Members will be inducted into the Phi Beta Delta Honorary Society for International Scholars. Information on current members is available here.

Goals of the Academy are:

  • Recognize our peers for their interest and efforts in globalizing Auburn's curriculum
  • Facilitate international course offerings on campus
  • Assist in creating an academic International Certificate (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Fund Academy faculty with modest support for international travel in recognition of their internationalization efforts

Applications will be accepted from full time, tenured or tenure-track faculty at Auburn. Please submit a CV (preferably no longer than 5 pages) highlighting the faculty member’s international teaching experiences, either on-campus or overseas. Inquiries and applications should be sent to S. Raj Chaudhury, special assistant for international programs. Deadline for submissions is Monday, Dec. 14. Newly nominated members will be announced by Jan. 30, 2016.
