OIP Announces Internationalization Grants Program for 2017-18

The Office of International Programs is now accepting proposals for the Faculty Internationalization Grants program as well as three specific travel grants for the 2017-18 academic year.

Faculty Internationalization Grants provide up to $5,000 in funding to assist faculty members in developing new programs and collaborations overseas. Proposals will be accepted for internationalized courses and curricula, linking with overseas classrooms through technology and establishing international research collaborations. The deadline for Faculty Internationalization Grant proposals is Dec. 1.

Proposals will also be accepted from faculty who would like to take part in trips organized by OIP to meet and develop substantial collaborations with partner institutions in strategic areas. Opportunities include:

  • Trip to Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea Oct. 11-16; proposals due Sept. 25
  • Trip to Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in Germany the week of Dec. 11; proposals due Oct. 31
  • Trip to partner institutions in Sweden and Norway in early May 2018; proposals due Jan. 31

Faculty selected for these travel grants will receive full travel funding, and OIP will arrange appropriate meetings with partners.

All proposals should be submitted via e-mail to Jenn Mason, director of international initiatives, at jlm0061@auburn.edu. For full details on proposal requirements, please visit OIP Faculty Grants.
