FIPSE Announces 2010 U.S.-Brazil Program Competition
The Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education is pleased to announce the U.S.-Brazil Program competition for fiscal year 2010. The competition opened January 22, 2010 and closes March 25, 2010. The U.S.-Brazil Program is designed to assist colleges and universities in the United States and Brazil by giving students a U.S.-Brazil perspective to education and training in a wide range of subject areas. The program is based on objectives outlined in a 1997 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Education between the United States and Brazil.

Language and Culture Assistantships in Spain
The Ministry of Education of Spain is pleased to announce over 1,500 grants for American and Canadian participants to serve as teaching assistants in Spain, sharing their native knowledge of the English or French language and
North American culture in Spanish public K-12 schools. Teaching assistants receive a minimum monthly stipend of 700 euros and full
medical insurance. The application deadline for the 2010-2011

Chinese Academy of Sciences Fellowships
The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) are sponsoring Visiting Professorships for both "Young Scientists" and "Senior International Scientists." Each fellowship requires the candidate to work with a Chinese collaborator, provide support for 12 months, with the possibility of extending an additional 12 months, and covers salary, living allowance, airfare, and health insurance. Those interested should explore research opportunities with potential collaborators within the Institutes of the CAS:

Green Energy in Abu Dhabi
In collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Carbon Neutral, Zero Waste City, The MSADAR Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce full scholarships to highly qualified graduate students from around the world for its Fall 2010 intake. The Institute offers MSc programs, and in Fall 2010 is planning to start PhD programs in science and engineering disciplines, with a focus on advanced energy and sustainable technologies. Pakistan Undergraduate Program Administration
The Office of Academic Exchange Programs of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces an open competition to administer the FY2010 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan. The recipient organization will be responsible for the following aspects of the program: placement of no less than 100 foreign
students at accredited U.S. institutions (50 for fall semester 2010, 50 spring semester 2011) student travel to the U.S., orientation, enrichment programming, advising, monitoring and support, pre-return
activities, evaluation, and follow-up with program alumni. It is anticipated that the total amount of funding for FY2010 administrative and program costs will be $2,000,000 pending availability of funds. More information at:
