Recognizing that
international education is a fundamental part of the general and
professional studies in our contemporary world, the Office of
International Education mission is to provide advocacy for and
support to:
- Auburn University
academic units and faculty with the process of integrating
Auburn University's internationalization goals into and across
Auburn programs and activities;
- Faculty and students
interested in having an international education experience
either at Auburn University or outside of the United States; and
to:
- Auburn University and
its community in promoting international understanding and
cooperation as part of the AU Vision of commitments to all
Alabamians as the State enhances its role in a global society.
Our goals are to:
- increase the
number of Auburn Abroad participants each year to the level
of at least 25% of graduates each year have had an
international experience.
- provide relevant
support for international students and scholars to attend
and participate in the range of AU programs and experiences.
- advocate for and
enhance the support for opportunities for domestic and
international students, scholars and faculty to interact
effectively and routinely in educational settings; and to
- provide
ongoing support and advocacy for AU international academic
programs, faculty, students and staff
