Miyoung Park

Miyoung has been teaching Korean and English as a second language since she earned a BA in Korean Language and Literature in Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. She came to USA for the first time in 2001 to learn English as a second language and has been inspired to live in different places ever since. She traveled and worked in Thailand, worked as a student counselor in Canada, taught numerous English immersion programs in Korea, and taught Korean major college students in Chinese University of Hong Kong for four years till she decided to have a little bit of change in her life and move to USA in 2018.

She is a firm believer that an ability or a mindset to learn and communicate in a foreign language can take one's life to a whole different level and make him or her appreciate who they are and where they come from more profoundly. If someone can really appreciate themselves, it is kind of hard not to do the same for others. She cannot emphasize enough that learning a foreign language opens the door to many things that you would never have imagined otherwise.
