Thank you to the session presenters and attendees of the 2021 International Perspectives on University Teaching and Learning Symposium in Orlando, FL and online. In a difficult year, we are gratified that so many of you were able to travel and be part of a community of like-minded scholars seeking to internationalize our efforts and solutions for enhanced teaching and learning. The Auburn University Office of International Programs appreciated your thoughts and experiences, and we took away a number of practices and ideas that we can immediately implement in our classrooms. We look forward to 2023 when we can meet again and continue this dialogue at Disney. We hope to see you join us once again.
Presenters are invited to submit a proposal for an article to be published in a special issue of the journal New Directions for Teaching and Learning titled “International Perspectives on University Teaching and Learning”. This issue will be edited by the Symposium organizers and will include 10 – 15 selected articles. Submission details will be presented at the Symposium.
The Conversation Starter is a Symposium publication dedicated to showcasing the diverse collection of essays about internationalization research, programming initiatives at institutions around the world and thought pieces about higher education in a global context. Essays are submitted by Symposium attendees, and used to facilitate discussions at the IPUTL Conversation Starter Roundtable sessions.
Once finalized, Conversation Starter essays will be available here for review prior to IPUTL 2021.
A sampling of essays included in the Conversation Starter publication given with the 2018 IPUTL check-in packet. Please feel free to review these pieces for a peek into some of the discussions from the 2018 Conversation Starter Roundtable.
