Welcome to Auburn University!

Auburn Abroad, a division of the Office of International Programs, coordinates the incoming exchange student program. Students are eligible to study at Auburn University on exchange if their home institution has a 1:1 bilateral exchange agreement with an AU department.

Eligible students should contact their home university’s international office to inquire about the exchange program and nomination process. Application materials will not be provided to students who have not been nominated by their home institution.

If your home university and course of study are not found in the listing of exchange programs, please contact Auburn University international admissions for undergraduate or graduate students.

After a nomination has been received and accepted, students will be sent an email with a link to the application materials, which include a copy of an unexpired passport, a financial statement, proof of English proficiency, and a transcript of all courses taken. The specific requirements of each document are included in the online application. After the visa documentation has been issued, students will receive further instructions on course enrollment, accommodation, and other pre-arrival information.

Completed applications are due by March 15th for fall term and October 15th for spring term. (Business students and students who desire on-campus accommodation are encouraged to apply sooner.) Semester dates, exam periods, and holidays can be found on Auburn’s academic calendar.
