Experience

  • Conducted research as an Auburn University faculty member on cut-to-length harvesting systems for thinning Southern pine plantations, water quality/sediment export due to forest roads and stream crossings, quantifying the reliability of forestry equipment, and timber harvesting contract rate calculations based on site variables and harvesting equipment.


Research Interests

  • Impacts of section 404 of the Clean Water Act permitting process as it relates to forestry.
  • Maintaining the estates of limited-resource landowners.
  • Estate planning techniques, such as estate freezing.
