DESCRIPTION OF THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Vocational and Adult Education offers degree programs from the undergraduate through the doctoral level. Areas of emphasis include: Adult Education, Agribusiness Education, Business Education, Marketing Education, Home Economics Education, Technology Education, and Trade and Industrial Education.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The appointment will involve:
I. Academic Preparation: Earned doctorate within the field of Vocational/Occupational/Workforce Education with an emphasis in Technology Education and/or Trade and Industrial Education at the pre-doctoral levels that will meet state teacher certification requirements
. II. Required Professional Experience and Performance: Successful teaching experience in Technology Education and/or Trade and Industrial Education at the comprehensive high school or area vocational-technical school
Successful vocational teacher education experience at the college/university level
Sufficient scholarly productivity to achieve graduate faculty credentialing status
Demonstrated success in seeking external funding
History of providing service to the field
III. Preferred Qualifications:
ACADEMIC RANK: Assistant or Associate Professor
SALARY: Dependent upon qualifications
APPOINTMENT: Nine-month tenure-track position beginning fall quarter, September 16, 1996
