Assistant Professor, Adult Education (two positions)

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Vocational and Adult Education offers degree programs from the undergraduate through the doctoral level. Areas of emphasis include: Adult Education, Agribusiness Education, Business and Office Education, Marketing Education, and Trade and Industrial Education.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The appointment will involve: (1) conducting research and development activities in adult education and contributingto the mission and activities of the College of Education, (2) teaching, recruiting, and advising undergraduate and graduate students, (3) carrying out extension and public service activities, (4) developing and securing contracts and grants, and (5) working cooperatively with the State Department of Education, related agencies, business, and industry groups.

ACADEMIC RANK: Assistant Professor

SALARY: Dependent upon qualifications

APPOINTMENT: Nine-month tenure-track position beginning fall quarter, September 16, 1998, or when position is filled.

BENEFITS: Benefits include: Health and life insurance; Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA); College Retirement Equities Fund (CREF); Alabama Teacher Retirement; Social Security (cost of each of above shared by Auburn University); and sick leave.
