- Give people permission to discuss authentic problems
- Dialogue is important! It allows people to agree upon objectives; solve problems; iron out conflicts; and create rallying momentum
- Make sure the right people are there. Find those that are passionate about the issue
- Give yourself permission to hold a two-hour meeting, without an agenda
