Frequently Asked Questions




CHANGE OF MAJOR AFTER ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION

Notification of acceptance/nonacceptance will be mailed to you, to your advisor, and will be placed in your permanent folder.

A Change of Major form will be sent if you are accepted into the requested program.

If you are not accepted, you will remain in your former program.



SELECTION OF INTERNSHIP SITE

The College of Education will assume the costs for your supervision within a 60-mile radius of Auburn. You must be prepared to be responsible for providing your own transportation during this period.

Interns are expected to devote a full quarter (10 weeks - 300 clock hours minimum) to the internship.

CERTIFICATION

You will be given the forms and information necessary to apply for your teacher's certificate at the Orientation Session your internship quarter. Any questions you have regarding obtaining certification should be directed to the Teacher Certification Evaluator in the Teacher Education Services Office.



TRANSIENT WORK
Once a student enrolls in a program of study in the College of Education and wishes to take a course away from Auburn University he/she must secure permission to do so. The procedure is as follows:
