Joblink Center Service Assessment Tool
by Lily Moody

Abstract

This tool was developed in collaboration with two other regional coordinators who will use it to help identify barriers at the JobLink Centers in the local service area. By utilizing this tool, the coordinators intend to increase the number of customers served, develop employer relationships, and to market the availability of services at JobLink Centers to persons with disabilities.

Some questions on the 3-page assessment tool developed by Lily and her colleagues follow:

- Do marketing and recruitment materials list the telephone number of the TDD/TTY line or realy service that can be used to call JobLink?
- Do you have any assistive technology for persons with disabilities (JAWS, LUNAR, ZOOM)? If so, can you show me how they work? Does all staff know how to operate these devices? Would you like more information about training or other assistive technologies?
- How are new consumers greeted? Is there one Greeter? Do Partners take turns?
- How comfortable do you perceive your staff to be in working with consumers who have disabilities? (5-pt Likert)
