Abstract

An account representative with the Georgia Department of Rehabilitation Services, which is housed under the Georgia Department of Labor, speaks to an audience at the Chambers of Commerce in Douglas County, about the Georgia Rehabilitation Services. The speaker highlighted the benefits of employing individuals with disabilities such as the individuals’ motivation, dedication, dependability and reliability for work. In addition, the speaker mentioned tax credits that employers could get for hiring persons with disabilities.  Also, the speaker informed the audience of several disability awareness training services given by the Georgia Department of Rehabilitation Services with the purpose of enlightening employers about issues that their employees with disabilities are concerned about.
