Is the main character of the movie perceived or identified as having a disability by the other characters in this movie? Describe the scene in which the supporting character identifies the disability.

Examine the family support of the main character of the movie.  Provide details describing the main character's relationship with family members, as well as the family members' perceptions of the main character. In your opinion, what type of effect would the family members' behaviors have on your ability to work with and place the main character in a working environment?

How was the main character of the movie incorporated into the community? Describe how the main character was included in (or excluded from) community life.

Imagine you are an individual in the general public with limited knowledge about disability. What sort of effect do you think this movie would have on your perception of people with disabilities? What could have been changed in the movie to make it more respectful and supportive of the disability rights movement?
