Imagine a great catastrophe...like a huge tornado coming through and completely demolishing the rehabilitation system as we know it. All consumer files are gone. There are no IPEs or evaluation reports to read. Personnel records and pay checks are lost. All the years of careful planning are gone- even the laws that govern the way in which we provide services. The new
(and only) rehabilitation law adopts the former ADA’s definition of disability and provides funding to be accessed by individuals with disabilities through consumer voucher systems.
  
Due to your excellent performance and years of experience in community employment services, you have been selected to participate in a pilot demonstration project on the future of rehabilitation services. Your mission as executive director of your county’s pilot project is to...........:

     •    Decide on a name and motto (slogan) for your new organization. What is your rationale for making these choices? Will you develop marketing materials? If so, what specific materials do you anticipate needing?

     •    You have been allocated funding to employ 5 individuals to work with you on this project. Assign individual personnel roles (i.e., job titles) and responsibilities for all project members. What sort of criteria will you require for each position (i.e., educational level, experience, etc.)?

     •    Develop a list (and a detailed description) of the 4 primary  services your rehabilitation agency will provide. Why did you choose these particular services? If you could only provide 1 service, what would it be, and why?
