I am employed as an Account Representative with the State of Georgia, Division of Rehabilitation Services. I place people with disabilities into employment and market our services to employers in Region 4 - LaGrange, GA (Troup, Heard, and Meriwether Counties). The Division is currently under the Department of Human Resources but will merge with the Department of Labor (as part of the national move to one stop shops) in July 2001. I am currently single, but I do have the great joy of having two special young ladies in my life; my two nieces Jaylin and Jenna. I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Valley, AL (I serve as president this year), the Troup and Greater Valley Area Chambers of Commerce, the Greater Valley Area Auburn Club (War Eagle! - I serve as Secretary and as a member of the Board of Directors), the Troup Interagency Council, and the Troup County Habitat for Humanity. I also serve on the City of Valley Historical Preservation Committee and Disability Committee, the West GA Streams of Service, the National Rehabilitation Association, and the West GA Rehabilitation Association (I serve on the Board of Directors, as Ways and Means Chairman, and as President Elect for 2002). I am a member of the Langdale United Methodist Church and I enjoy golf, fishing, reading, travel (I have been on every continent except Antarctica), cooking, wine collecting, and politics. However, my main hobbie is Auburn Football. I have been to the past two Auburn Football Fantasy Camps conducted by Coach Tommy Tuberville and his staff and I enjoyed every minute (minus the loses to MSU, UF, UF - Again!, and UM) of the 2000 football season. I also enjoy attending the Masters at Augusta National each year. I have been to 10 straight Masters Tournaments. The area in which I work is primarily Troup County (specifically LaGrange, GA). LaGrange is home to LaGrange College and has a population of approximately 30,000. The city is heavily industrialized (with a huge industrial park) but has a controlled growth plan to keep the "home town" feel and prevent urban sprawl from Atlanta, GA. My job is to meet with local employers and match people with disabilities to those employer job openings so that both the client and business may benefit. I am also responsible for all public relations in the area concerning the Division of Rehabilitation Services. Please feel free to email me
